New summer hours for farmers markets in Oakland

The town announced changes to its farmers market hours for the summer.

The town of Oakland is hosting its first farmers market of the month Thursday, May 14. 

However, the town announced changes to the market's schedule. 

Starting Thursday, farmers markets now will last four hours instead of five for the summer. 

Residents can attend from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and shop handmade goods and local favorites at 126 W. Petris Ave., Oakland. 

The town will announce when farmers markets return to their 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. schedule.
