Man arrested for recording women in restrooms in Winter Garden

A 19-year-old man was arrested Tuesday, May 19, after being caught inside the women's bathroom of Axum Coffee, located. at 146 W. Plant St., Winter Garden. 

According to the arrest affidavit, the Winder Garden Police Department received a call regarding a man with his pants down in the women's bathroom. 

When officers arrived, they found Brian Larios-Perez inside the bathroom in the handicap stall. 

He was then escorted out of the bathroom. 

The arrest affidavit stated Larios-Perez's story was not consistent. He first claimed he needed to use the restroom, and did not know he was in the women's one. 

"Brian then changed his story and stated he was in there to do schoolwork, and later changed his story again, stating he was in there to play games on his phone," the affidavit read. 

While officers spoke with Larios-Perez, the owner of the building was contacted. 

He stated he told Larios-Perez to leave the premises on various occasions, and claimed he caused damage to the men's bathroom. 

Larios-Perez then confirmed he did, in fact, damage the men's bathroom to oversee the women's handicap stall. 

Officers also went through his phone, and found multiple videos of women being recorded while using the restroom. Some videos dated back to April. 

He now is facing trespassing charges, digital voyeurism in the third degree and criminal mischief.
