Oakland Nature Preserve offering volunteer opportunities

Volunteering will begin Monday May 25, through Aug. 29.

The Oakland Nature Preserve now is offering summer volunteer opportunities. 

Starting Monday, May 25, volunteers will participate in tasks rooted in education and land stewardship, such as learning about invasive plant removal, how to get involved on national holidays and participating as caretakers of the Earth's ecosystem. 

Anyone over the age of 18 can volunteer. For those under the age of 18, participation requires parental supervision and/or written parental consent. 

Pre-registration is required for all volunteer days, which include May 25, June 6, June 13, June 20, June 27, July 4, July 18, Aug. 1, Aug. 8 and Aug. 29.
