The town of Oakland announced a new autopay system will take over the current ACH payment process.

Town officials said the new system will make utility bill payments simpler and more convenient than ever.

The final ACH draft will take place Wednesday, June 10.

The enrollment period for the new payment system will begin Tuesday, June 16, through Wednesday, July 8.

If a payment option is not set up by Wednesday, July 8, the payment for that billing cycle will need to be made manually.

All residents will be required to re-enroll in autopay and update payment methods.

There are fees associated with this new system, including 25 cents per transaction for e-check autopay, 75 cents for a one-time e-check payment, and a 2% processing fee plus 25 cents for credit and debit card payments.
