The City of Ocoee is hosting an open house with the Ocoee Fire Department this weekend.

Locals will have the opportunity to meet the area's friendly firefighters, play games, win prizes, take tours of the station, enjoy delicious bites and more.

Food options will include hot dogs, chips, sodas, popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones.

In addition, there will be face painting from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a bounce house, blood pressure checks and an opportunity for children to hold and spray a fire hose with a firefighter.

The open house will also inform residents about the importance of storm preparedness with hurricane season right around the corner.

The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, at Fire Station 25, located at 563 S. Bluford Ave.

For more information, call the Ocoee Fire Department at (407) 905-3140 or visit their Facebook page.
