WINTER GARDEN — It was a case of Murphy's Law, with everything that could go wrong doing just that for the West Orange Warriors.

The Apopka Blue Darters scored on their first, second and fourth drives Friday night in the FHSAA Class 8A Regional Semifinals and never looked back as they coasted to a 42-0 victory in the FHSAA Class 8A Regional Semifinals.

The Warriors (11-1) could not overcome a night that included a blocked field goal, several penalties, overthrown balls to open receivers and a few drops. They also had no answer for either the Blue Darters' running game or their run-defense.

West Orange, which had had one of the elite offenses in the state this fall, struggled to get first downs and was held scoreless for the first time since October of 2010.

Apopka (8-4) was led by Chandler Cox and Demetri Burch on offense, each of whom scored a pair of touchdowns and accounted for the lion's share of the Blue Darters' potent ground attack.
