SSAC names All-Conference teams, awards top coaches

The 2014 season for the Sunshine State Athletic Conference is over, but there is still just a bit more recognition to dole out.

The independent conference announced its All-Conference First and Second Teams, recently, and several area players from Windermere Prep, CFCA and Legacy Charter were recognized for their impressive efforts on the field.

Here are the 2014 SSAC All-Conference First and Second Teams:

FIRST TEAM OFFENSE

Area coaches earn honors

CFCA’s Michael Bonneville was recognized as the Coastal League’s Coach of the Year. Bonneville took over a program that had gone 7-23 over its past three seasons and made the Eagles an eight-win program and a contender in the SSAC.

Windermere Prep’s Jacob Doss was tapped as the Coral League’s Coach of the Year. Doss has been the head guy at Windermere Prep since day one and has guided the upstart program to the point where, during this past season, the Lakers were dominant every time they took the field.
