The foursome of Mike Woodall, Chad Kline, Travis Magnuson and Clint Magnuson won the Roper YMCA Golf Classic Sept. 19 at MetroWest Golf Club.

The group represented four of 112 total players who participated in the event, which raised $25,000 in net proceeds — $10,000 of which came by way of a silent auction. All proceeds go toward the organization’s scholarship campaign.

“The (Roper YMCA) Golf Classic is an important part in our efforts to raise money to help our community families be a part of the benefits the YMCA provides,” Craig James, the senior program director at the Roper YMCA, said in a statement. “Twenty-eight percent of our members are on scholarship assistance, and we are blessed our Golf Classic was a success so we can continue to impact our neighbors in need.”

Other winners included the women’s longest drive winner, Erin Boyd, and the women’s closest to the pin winner, Lori Burshan. On the men’s side, Buddy Evans won the closest to the pin contest, and Brandon Baker registered the longest drive.

The event’s presenting sponsor was Prismone, and the luncheon that followed the event was sponsored by Health Central Hospital.
