The first round of the FHSAA State Playoffs for boy basketball is in the books and three of the four coverage area teams that competed Thursday night have advanced — Central Florida Christian Academy, Dr. Phillips and Windermere Prep all scored big victories on the road in their respective regional quarterfinals.

The resulting regional semifinal matchups, scheduled for Tuesday at 7 p.m., are all rematches of district championship games from just a week ago.

In Class 2A, CFCA (23-6) will get another shot at Agape (22-3), which defeated the Eagles in the district final, after it cruised past Meadowbrook (Ocala), 53-13.

Dr. Phillips, which defeated top-ranked Evans for a second time this season in its Class 8A Region 1 Quarterfinal, will get a chance to avenge a last-second loss to the Boone Braves on Tuesday on the road. The Braves defeated West Orange, 59-51, ending the Warriors' season.

In Class 3A, Windermere Prep will get an opportunity to see if the fourth time is the charm. The Lakers (19-9) have fell to The First Academy (24-4) in three previous meetings this season, including the 3A-6 Final on Feb. 7, and will travel to take on the Royals one last time. Windermere Prep defeated The Master's Academy (22-5) on Thursday, 75-62.
