Winter Garden man killed in Osceola County wreck

OSCEOLA COUNTY Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a fatal crash from June 2 in Osceola County that killed a Winter Garden man.

At approximately 10:25 p.m., Jason Carter, 30, of Winter Garden, was on foot with Chelsea Harris, 27, of Orlando, in the southbound lanes of Poinciana Boulevard. Near Oren Brown Road, the front of Kissimmee man Manuel Rosero-Tamayo's car struck them, killing both on the scene.

Troopers had instituted a roadblock in the area. Tamayo suffered no injuries and was deemed sober, but reports on Carter and Harris are pending. No charges exist pertinent to this incident as of press time.
