Bus operators and mechanics, take note: Orange County Public Schools is hiring.

The school district holds a transportation services job fair Tuesday, June 21 for people interested in working for OCPS.

At the fair, OCPS staff will conduct interviews and demonstrate equipment.

Bus operators are required to have a clean driving record, a valid Florida driver’s license and five years or more of driving experience. Applicants with a high school diploma or a GED are preferred, but this is not required.

Mechanic candidates must bring a resume. OCPS will train mechanic candidates who are selected, but applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid commercial driver’s license — or be able to obtain one within six months of being employed, a clean driving record and a two-year minimum experience of servicing gasoline and diesel vehicles.

Applicants are asked to apply online before attending. Go to ocps.net and click “Employment” on the left side of the screen. For more information, visit ocps.net.
