HORIZON WEST Police officers, firefighters and the Independence community came together for an evening of fun activities Tuesday, Aug. 1, during the community’s National Night Out. Kids got to enjoy bounce houses, yard games and bubbles. Everyone enjoyed a martial-arts demonstration, local food trucks, a bike parade and a special visit from the Florida Flight 1 helicopter.
