Mimi’s Community Theatre to hold auditions for upcoming show

WINTER GARDEN Mimi’s Community Theater will hold auditions on Sunday, April 2, and Monday, April 3, for its new show, “The Rainmaker.”

The play is set in Depression-era America and follows the story of a woman who has tried and failed to find herself a husband and the man who arrives in town with promises of rain - for the price of $100.

There are seven roles that need to be filled - six men and one woman. Auditions will be held at 7 p.m. on both days at the Winter Garden Masonic Lodge, located at 230 West Bay Street, Winter Garden. Anyone trying out for the show will be asked to do a cold reading from a script for their audition. 

Performance dates for the show are 8 p.m. on Friday, May 12, Saturday, May 13, Friday, May 19, and Saturday, May 20. There will also be a 2 p.m. show on Sunday, May 14.
