Obituary: Blanche J. Maynard

Blanche J. Maynard, 84 of Winter Park, Florida, passed away on June 24, 2018. She was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Feb. 27, 1934.

Blanche loved being a good mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Maitland. She also designed beautiful floral arrangements for many weddings and other events over the years.

Blanche is survived by her daughter, Jeanette Gay; her brother, Milton B. Handy Jr.; her grandchildren, Carol Gay and John Gay; her great-granddaughter, Izzabellah Rummell; and by her nieces and nephews, Lisa Thompson, Michelle Honeycutt, Sandra Russell, Bennett Handy, Chris Handy and Mary Handy.

A celebration of Blanche’s life will be held at the Cornerstone Community Church, Winter Garden, at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7. Arrangements entrusted to Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, Winter Garden. baldwinfairchildwintergarden.com.
