Roberta (Donahue) Davis, age 78, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018. She was preceded in her passing by her mother, Elizabeth (Cook) Donahue, and father, Louis Donahue, as well as her sister, Anna Belle (Donahue) Fulford.
She is survived by her brother, Robert Donahue (and his wife, Mary, in Indiana), her ex-husband, Clarence Davis, two daughters, Sharon (Davis, Jones) Joiner (spouse is Wesley), and Brenda Davis; one granddaughter, Nancy Jones Hamlet, (spouse Edwin living in Kentucky); one great-granddaughter, Alexandra Hamlet; one nephew, Jon Lee Fulford (Florida); and one niece, Denise Donahue (Arizona).
Roberta Louise Donahue was born Dec. 30, 1939, and raised in Orlando. She and the Donahue Family were members of the Reformed Presbyterian Church in Orlando.
She graduated from Boone High School in 1957 and was married to Clarence Davis for 40 years. She retired as a state employee from Valencia Community College, also having worked at Indian River Community College and Orange County Media Center. She served nine years in the FACC (Florida Association of Community Colleges).
Roberta always loved cats, sewing/crafts and had an extensive collection of owls. She enjoyed taking pictures, taking weekly trips to Fotomat. In recent years she attended the First United Methodist Church of Winter Garden and resided at Quality Health Care in Winter Garden, where she served as president of the Residents Council.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 7, at the First United Methodist Church in Winter Garden, 125 N. Lakeview Ave., 34787. Cremation services are entrusted to Woodlawn Cemetery in Gotha.
