Obituary: Mattie B. Whitehurst

Mattie B. Whitehurst, 93, of Winter Garden, Florida, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018. She was born in Elba, Alabama.

Mattie was preceded in death by husband Grady Whitehurst, sisters Raynell and Rosie Rushing and brother Udell Rushing.

She is survived by son Jimmie Frank Whitehurst; daughter Glenda S. Futch and her husband, James; sister Virginia Cawthorn, of Virginia; brother Rex Rushing, of Ocoee, Florida. Mattie is also survived by seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation and service was held Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at West Orlando Baptist Church with burial at Highland Memory Gardens. Arrangements in care of Highland Funeral Home. highlandfh.com.
