Central Florida specialty contractor United Wall Systems, Inc. is moving its Winter Garden headquarters to 401 E. Smith St. on June 13, according to a statement from the company.

United Wall Systems purchased the new office after leasing its previous Winter Garden location for several years — an indicator of how good a fit the area has been, Marketing Manager Carrie Yoder said.

(It’s) the quaintness, the hometown feel and easy access to (State Road) 429 and (State Road) 408,” she said. “For our business, most of our clients are in the entertainment industry. We have easy access to our projects. … This is where we want to do business out of. We just love it.”

The new space comes complete with a large office footprint, as well as a spacious warehouse and outdoor yard. The purchase is a move that supports the company's growth strategy heading into the second half of 2019 — the property was purchased by United Walls in early 2018, but was occupied by a tenant.

“We found a building that was office and warehouse space initially with the intent just to keep the renters in there, but when the renters moved out, we analyzed our numbers and said ‘Hey, it’s cheaper than leasing,’” Yoder said.

CEO Curtis Yoder said in a statement that the new office space complements his team's needs as the company continuously works to improve services and reach financial goals.
