With Orange County’s August primary elections around the corner, candidates for various offices are working to earn the votes of the constituents they hope to serve. This week, the West Orange Times & Observer and Southwest Orange Observer introduce the three candidates running for Orange County Commission District 1.

The candidates are incumbent Betsy VanderLey and challenger Nicole Wilson. The county's primary election takes place Tuesday, Aug. 18.
