Windermere Little League is kicking off its season with a carnival for players and their families and friends.

The Opening Day spring carnival will take place Saturday, Feb. 22, at George Bailey Park, 11974 Roberson Road, Windermere.

The day's festivities begin with a parade of Little League players and coaches, and players will be given carnival wristbands as they line up for the parade. Non-players can buy a wristband for $20. After the opening ceremonies are complete, the carnival officially will begin.

Activities include a cake walk, skills competition, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, cake decorating contest for adults and children, a concession stand, rides and bounce houses.

Families are encouraged to arrive by 9:15 a.m. Rides and bounce houses will continue until 2 p.m., and the silent auction will close at 1 p.m.

One hundred percent of funds raised will go back into the league. For more information, click here.
