Ocoee police continue search for missing child

Police say 11-year-old Zion Ward left her Ocoee home July 17.

UPDATE: Ocoee police investigators believe Zion Ward may be staying in the area of West Colonial Drive and Mercy Drive in Orlando.

Ocoee police are searching for a child who went missing three days ago.

Police say 11-year-old Zion Ward left her home in the 2000 block of Twisted Pine Road in Ocoee Friday, July 17, around 5:30 p.m.

According to police, the girl is 5-foot-3 and weighs 110 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black shirt, black jeans and a flowered bonnet, and was also carrying a gray-and-black fanny pack, police said. 

The department shared a flyer on its Facebook page describing Zion as an "endangered runaway" and mentioned she is possibly in the Lockhart area of Orlando.

The Ocoee Police Department requests that anyone with information about Zion Ward's whereabouts call Detective Leo Gomez at (407) 905-3160 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
