The Garden Theatre announced Friday, March 13, that it will suspend or reschedule all performances and events through the rest of the month.

Following suit with many event cancellations locally and nationwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Garden Theatre representatives stated via Facebook post that the suspensions begin Saturday, March 14 and affect events through Sunday, April 5.

This includes the theater's Encore fundraiser originally scheduled for March 14, the March 15 performance of Ben Hur, and the March 29 showing of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail."

The March 13 adult improv class will go on as scheduled, as well as spring break camps. Those camps will proceed with additional sanitation procedures in place to protect students and staff members.

Staff members will be contacting ticket holders for all upcoming events to discuss the scheduling changes and ticketing options. Additionally, the box office will remain open during normal operating hours to handle all ticketing issues.

"Throughout these rapidly evolving circumstances, we will continue to closely monitor updates provided by the CDC and other health authorities, including all reported cases locally, regionally, and nationwide," the post states. "If it becomes necessary to further postpone, reschedule or cancel performances, we will notify all ticket holders by email, and a notice will be placed on our website."
