Chief commends nine at Oakland PD

Oakland Police Chief John Peek has given commendations to nine members of his police force. They were honored for various acts of exemplary service to the department and residents of Oakland in 2020.

Officers Anthony Edwards and Roger Fisher II both received a Lifesaving Award, Officer Anthony Gardner was presented the Purple Heart Ribbon, Cpl. Jason Hayes earned the Patrol Unit Ribbon, Officer Colten Horne was given the Bicycle Unit Ribbon and the Training Unit Ribbon, officers Rajiv Lal and Andrew Ricks each received a Meritorious Service Ribbon, Sgt. Estid Lima was recognized with the Officer of the Year Ribbon and the Meritorious Service Ribbon, Officer Andrew Ricks earned the Meritorious Service Ribbon, and Sgt. Anthony Vitale received the Distinguished Service Medal.
