Ocoee City Commission to meet tonight

The meeting begins at 6:15 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at the Ocoee City Hall.

The Ocoee City Commission will hold its next regular City Commission meeting at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday,  Aug. 16.

Among the consent agenda items are the approval of the 2023 Holiday Schedule and the cancellation of five scheduled meeting dates— Jan. 3, 2023; March 14, 2023; July 4, 2023; Sept. 5, 2023; Nov. 21, 2023; the approval of the Florida Bicycle Pedestrian Focused Initiative; and the approval of the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant that will make available $10,000 for the Ocoee Police Department.

The meeting includes the second reading of ordinance of the adoption of the new boundaries for the Commission Districts, the second reading of ordinance for the Land Development Code to consolidate the Sign Code and the second reading of ordinance for the Land Development Code to clarify fence requirements for corner lots and lots with multiple street frontages within the city and in residential districts. The meeting also includes the public hearing to certify the Non-Ad Valorem assessment tax roll for abatement cost recovery for the fiscal year 2023. 

The regular agenda includes the approval of a new appointment to the Human Relations Diversity Board.
