The West Orange Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Big Orange Awards on Friday, Feb. 11, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.
Chamber members, friends and family gathered sporting 70s inspired cocktail attire to celebrate the accomplishments and triumphs of some of the Chamber’s most admired and inspirational members.
Attendees enjoyed refreshments, delicious bites, a photo booth, complementary merchandise, groovy tunes, a silent auction and more at the event.
Sponsors including Disney, Orlando Health, AdventHealth, Duke Energy and Healthy West Orange were all in attendance.
WOCC President and CEO Stina D’Uva, WOCC Vice President Krista Carter, and Former Chairwoman of the WOCC Board of Directors Camille Evans hosted the majority of the awards ceremony.
Award recipients included Commissioner Bakari Burns with the “Chair’s” award, Lynetta Tipton Steed with the Mary VanDeventer “The Spirit of West Orange” award, Joseph McMullen with the “Sam Hovsepian” award, Joe Dunn with the “George Bailey” award, West Orange Healthcare District with the “Bert Roper” award, Joan Bailey with the “Lifetime Ambassador” award, and JoAnne Quarles with the Danniel J. Petro “The Bright Future of West Orange” award.
In addition, State Farm Agent Jo Barsh was presented with the “Small Business of the Year” award and Seacoast Bank was awarded with the “Big Business of the Year” award.
