Ocoee City Hall to host ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house

The ceremony will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at 1 N. Bluford Ave., Ocoee.

The City of Ocoee will hold a ribbon-cutting and open house ceremony to celebrate its new City Hall from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at 1 N. Bluford Ave.

According to a press release, the new City Hall "is a neoclassical three-story, structural steel and brick building with more than 46,000 square feet." 

The City of Ocoee is hosting the event along with Wharton-Smith, Inc. Construction Group and as it was the construction company, with the help of HKS Architects Inc., that helped create the vision of the new City Hall. 

The building is energy efficient and relies on natural and LED lighting, incorporating a health and wellness theme throughout the facility.
