Central Florida Chili Cookoff returns to West Orange

Get the antacid ready, because the Central Florida Chili Cookoff returns to West Orange this weekend.

This year’s event takes place from Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Ocoee Lakeshore Center, 125 N. Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee. 

The annual event is a fundraiser for Legacy Events for Education, which will use proceeds to provide scholarships to Ocoee, West Orange, Windermere and Horizon high graduates; grants to teachers and clubs; and the host the organization’s educational seminars.

Attendees will be able to sample more than 60 chilis of all varieties from local restaurants and chefs of all varieties. The event also will feature food trucks, dessert vendors, live music, refreshments and a Kids Zone play area.

Returning this year is the event’s popular blind draw doubles cornhole tournament.

Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to save time at the gate.
