Run scheduled on Lake Apopka Northshore Trail

The scenic trail run is 18.6 miles and meanders along the lake’s shoreline.

Run on the hard packed trail along Lake Apopka’s Northshore with the AdventHealth Lake Apopka Scenic Trail 30K on Jan. 22. Both individual and four-person relay team competition is available. This is a point-to-point 18.6-mile race starting at Magnolia Park in Apopka and finishing at the Green Mountain Scenic Overlook in Ferndale. All participants receive a 3D medal, long-sleeved mesh shirt and post-event food.

Awards will be presented to the top three overall individual finishers, top masters finisher, and the top three finishers in each five-year age group for male and female. Awards will be presented to the top three relay teams in each of the following divisions: Male, Female and Mixed. 

Hydration and refueling stations will be located approximately every two miles along the course. Roving medical personnel will travel the course from start to finish.  

A free shuttle service will be available from the finish line area back to the parking lot after the race. 

A portion of each entry fee goes to the nonprofit Friends of the Green Mountain Scenic Byway.

The Lake Apopka Loop Trail covers more than 20 miles, providing hiking and biking opportunities along and in close proximity to the Lake Apopka shoreline. Currently it is just a point-to-point trail but is expected to circumnavigate Lake Apopka in the future.
