A 43-year-old Orlando resident traveling northbound on State Road 429 has been pronounced dead on-scene after being ejected from his vehicle as a result of it colliding with the outside shoulder guardrail Wednesday, June 28.
According to a press release by the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place on the outside lane in the area of mile marker 17.
The passenger of the vehicle, a 21-year-old Orlando resident, was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is still underway. The northbound lanes on S.R. 429 were blocked from mile marker 15 — New Independence Parkway — to mile marker 17 — Tilden Road — to allow homicide investigators to investigate the collision.
