Southeastern Food Bank is looking for volunteers to sort and pack food to be delivered to families in need in the West Orange County area for its Food for Families program. Help is needed from 9:30 a.m. to noon on the next four Saturdays — March 18 and 25 and April 1 and 8 — at 655 N. Kissimmee Ave., Ocoee.

Southeastern Food Bank along with Publix Super Markets volunteers and hundreds of folks from the local community will unload, set up, sort and pack more than 2,000 boxes of food. Families, churches, school groups, athletic teams and other civic organizations are invited to participate.

To register, visit southeasternfoodbank.com/events.

Distribution will take place Saturday, April 15, at West Orlando Baptist Church, 1006 E. Crown Point Road, Ocoee. Drivers will be needed for this as well.

This three-times-per-year food giveaway in the spring and at Thanksgiving and Christmas has provided food to impoverished families for about 30 years.
