The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is bringing a life-sized replica of the Tabernacle of Moses to the Windermere area.

According to the church, the Tabernacle back in the day of Moses was a portable temple that could be taken apart and reassembled.

"The children of Israel used a tabernacle until they built the temple of Solomon," the church said in a press release. "God revealed the pattern of the temple to Moses and the children of Israel built it accordingly."

The church said the replica coming to Orlando will showcase the symbolism and the direct connection the community can make between ancient and modern day temples around the world.

Visitors will also be welcome to view additional temple related exhibits on display located in the church's cultural hall.

The church said members of all faiths in the community are welcome to attend the free event.

The replica will be on display from May 8 to May 13 at its meetinghouse, located at 3001 South Apopka-Vineland Road.

Tours will be provided for interested parties on the temple grounds. Those who wish to reserve a VIP tour can click here.
