Local West Orange County resident Jordan Mohr is continuing to impress with a multitude of recognitions, including her latest as No. 1 on aBreak58, music’s most influential platform for indie artists, with her new single "Break Up With Myself."

"This song reflects the idea that we all have parts of ourselves that we would like to change," she said. "It was written for that time in your life when you finally reach the breaking point and will no longer let situations that don’t serve you well (to) continue in your life."

The song, which came out in October, was co-written with the help of Mohr's team at DME Orlando in Gotha.

"They challenged me to work on more vulnerable and personal topics," she said. "Although this is a universal experience, it was very personal to me. Sharing intimate parts of my life is one of the areas I am working on as an artist."

Mohr, a West Orange High School graduate, said even making it on aBreak58's playlist is a privilege.

"I had another submission that made it to No. 8 and I was so excited about that, so to reach the number one spot with 57 other extremely talented independent artists is a true honor," she said.

As far as future projects Mohr said she currently is working on new concepts and also further developing her sound.

"I’m super excited about a current melody and vibe of a song," she said. "So, we’ll see where it goes."
