The First Academy girls basketball won its first game of the 2024-25 season, topping Central Florida Christian Academy, 46-32, at the Earned not Given Thanksgiving showcase hosted at the Royals' home court, the Cramer Family Field House, Nov. 29.
Royals' sophomores Bianca Hall and Avery Michels led the way for the TFA win — Hall led all scorers with 22 points while Michels, a transfer from Foundation Academy, added 14 points.
TFA (1-2) forward Sofi Miller, another new face to the Lady Royals hoop squad, surpassed the 1,000-rebound mark in the early season matchup; Miller is also a member of the 1,000 points scored club.
