The Winter Garden Squeeze, West and Southwest Orange County’s Florida Collegiate Summer League baseball team, will place its home games in the 2025 season at Horizon High’s baseball complex.
“As we prepare for our 12th year as an organization, we are really excited to announce that we're going to be playing our home games at Horizon High School this year,” said Squeeze General Manager Adam Bates. “Horizon baseball coach Dane Wisneski and the Athletic Director Adam Miller have been big proponents and partners with us and we're all excited about our new home for the summer.”
After one of the most successful seasons in team history, winning the most games in the Florida League (21), the Squeeze will look to bring that same type of winning, high-level and fun baseball to the Horizon West area this summer. But beyond the play on the diamond, Bates is looking forward to embedding the Squeeze into the fabric of this young and growing community.
“We’re really excited about this growing area and have already begun developing potential partnerships with local organizations, churches, restaurants and more,” Bates said. “This area of town, the southside of Winter Garden that borders Disney, really wants things to call their own — and we’ve seen that with the different events and everything that have popped up — and with the type of growth that’s happening here we think our team will be something that resonates with the community because of how unique our setup is for families to come out and enjoy our players, the teams from around Central Florida and to become part of the Squeeze Squad. Practically speaking, too, the field at the high school is in really good shape and … we hope to release our schedule here in the next couple of weeks, with anywhere from 14 to 18 home games through June and July.”
