Great Wiener Walk plans event in downtown Winter Garden

The Summer Sausage Dog Stroll will take place at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, June 7. 

Participants will meet in front of Winter Garden City Hall to greet fellow dachshund lovers, take a group photo and begin a short community walk along Plant Street.

The Great Wiener Walk hosts the event and is open to dachshunds and their owners. The stroll typically lasts between 30 minutes and an hour, with frequent stops along the way. The walking route covers less than a mile.

The stroll includes pup cups, ice pops and music described as "live barking." At the end of the walk, dogs can cool off at a designated cool-down station located on the grass adjacent to the pavilion.
