Orange County Comptroller Phil Diamond announced Tourist Development Tax collections received by Orange County for the April 2025 TDT collection month were $33,124,300. That is a 9.3% increase compared to April 2024.

“April collections were higher than last year — in part because Easter fell in April this year instead of March,” Diamond said. “However, April 2025 collections were still $519,300 less than April 2023 — when Easter also occurred in April.”

According to Visit Orlando, Orlando’s travel performance experienced solid growth in April 2025, with hotel occupancy rising 2.1% year-over-year to 73.0%, while demand increased at an even higher rate of 3.2%. The Average Daily Rate climbed 6.7% to $223.44, driven largely by a surge in leisure travel following the Easter holiday shift. Short-term rentals also saw a significant boost in demand, up 28% from last year.
