A children's museum is coming to Winter Garden

The Eight Waves proposed children's museum was approved on Thursday, June 26, to move forward with its plan.

A children's museum is planned to begin construction soon in Winter Garden.

According to a Facebook post, The Eight Waves Children's Museum won't be a place just to play at, but a place where kids can explore the world through creativity, hands-on activities and curiosity.

"Where education, opportunity and imagination meet - right here in Winter Garden," the post included.

The museum is expected to be completed in 2029 in the city-owned land at 971 E. Plant Street.
