The Attic Door has been sold

The Attic Door, located at 28 W. Plant St., Winter Garden, has been sold. Kevin and Laurie Tarter became owners in 2019, and after a seven-year run, they’re handing over the keys to a new owner. 

“We are retired,” they posted to the Attic Door’s Facebook page. “We are thrilled to announce the new owner is dedicated to preserving this legacy business, which has been a staple of Plant Street for over 20 years. You can expect the same iconic vibe and the local musicians you love to continue entertaining our community.” 

The Tarters said they are confident Jim Larweth, the new owner, will respect the legacy of the business while also adding “his own positive touch” to it, just like he did at the Chef’s Table.

 “Thank you, Winter Garden, for letting us be a part of your lives,” they said. “We’ll see you on the other side of the bar!”
