AdventHealth Winter Garden soon will begin welcoming patients into its new cancer institute Monday, July 27.

The cancer institute will expand access to advanced, whole-person cancer care closer to West Orange.

"Demand for cancer care in the Winter Garden area is expected to grow steadily over the coming yers," AdventHealth officials said.

Officials said by 2027, PET imaging demand will increase by 7.1%.

“Today is a meaningful step forward for cancer care in Winter Garden and for the growing community we are privileged to serve,” said Dr. Mazen Zaarour, hematologist and oncologist at AdventHealth Winter Garden. “This new home for the AdventHealth Cancer Institute at Winter Garden was thoughtfully designed with patients and families at the center. It brings together advanced treatments, specialized expertise and whole-person support so more people can receive expert care right in their backyard.”

Services will include radiation, immunotherapy, personalized, genetics-informed treatment plans and more.

“This facility is more than a new place for care,” said Aimee Keller-Pickford, CEO of AdventHealth Winter Garden. “It’s about helping more people feel supported, informed and never alone during one of the most difficult times in their lives.”
