The beloved Chef's Table and The Tasting Room in Winter Garden are planning to move, but not far.

For 18 years, these restaurants have called the 1927 Edgewater Hotel their home, but in 2027, a new chapter will begin.

The restaurants will relocate to the Bond Building, where The Tasting Room will be located at 2 W. Plant St., and The Chef's Table will occupy the space adjacent to it, at 12 W. Plant St.

The restaurants now are owned by Jim Larweth, who former owners Kevin and Laurie Tarter entrusted with the businesses.

According to a press release, Larweth said he made a commitment to honor what the Tarters have built, and to protect the people and guest experience that made it special.

"This expansion is that commitment in action — a larger kitchen, more room for guests, new private dining and event spaces and a long-term home in one of Winter Garden's most important historic buildings," Larweth said.

For now, however, the restaurants will remain open and offer services regularly until the move is complete mid-2027.
