Orange County Mayor recognized with Public Leadership in the Arts Award

The award recognizes elected officials whose leadership advanced the arts within the communities they serve.

Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings was recognized for his leadership and vision. 

Demings received the Public Leadership in the Arts Award for County Leadership, presented by the National Association of Counties and Americans for the Arts. 

According to an announcement made by District 1 Commissioner Nicole Wilson, Demings was honored for his commitment to ensuring the arts remain an essential aspect of Orange County's present and future. 

"This recognition reflects the incredible artists, art organizations, and cultural leaders who make Orange County such a dynamic place to live, work and visit," Demings said. "The arts enrich every aspect of our community, and I am honored to accept this award on behalf of everyone who helps make Orange County a destination for creativity and innovation."
