More than 1,000 Windermere residents celebrated the beginning of the holiday season during the town's annual Light Up Windermere event at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, in downtown Windermere.
Following a performance by the First Baptist Church Windermere choir, Mayor Gary Bruhn, along with students from Windermere Elementary, flipped the switch to illuminate the town Christmas tree and lights on Town Hall and more.
Guests also enjoyed sampling a variety of cuisines during the town's monthly food truck event.
