Ocoee to help host free picnic for local law-enforcement officers, families

Orlando country station 103.1 The Wolf is hosting BBQ 4 The Blue at Bill Breeze Park in Ocoee Saturday, Aug. 27.

OCOEE  If you or your someone in your family is a local law-enforcement officer, you may want to head down to Bill Breeze Park at Starke Lake in Ocoee Saturday, Aug. 27, for a free barbecue picnic.

Hosted by Orlando country station 103.1 The Wolf, BBQ 4 The Blue is a free event for Central Forida law-enforcement officers. Food vendors such as Pizza Hut and Hard Rock Cafe Orlando, along with State Farm, are donating the food. Winter Park Ponies and Merry Minstrel will be there to provide entertainment.

"We have to thank the City of Ocoee and Mayor Rusty Johnson for helping us host BBQ 4 The Blue  they are great partners and immediately offered the use of Lakeshore Center Park for this non-profit event," said Chris Ganoudis, WOTW general manager, in a press release.  "We know our community will wrap their arms around law enforcement and come together to show support for all they do for us."

BBQ 4 The Blue will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
