The tournament was created in memory of Robert German, a Windermere Police officer who was killed in the line of duty on March 22, 2014. His family attended the tournament on March 5, and his father, Tim, said it was like a big family reunion.
“When there’s another loss like that, it means that much more (during this tournament),” he said. “We celebrate the courage and sense of service they all had.”
