UPDATE, 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser set up for the family, the 14-year-old boy suffered a severe brain injury. He was rushed into surgery, which took longer than expected because of the severity of the injuries. He currently is in critical condition at the ICU at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.

"I am setting this up due to an overwhelming response from the community asking how to help him and his family during this tough time," wrote the boy's aunt, Phuong Yuhas, on the fundraiser page. "His parents will need to miss work, and they also have a daughter to care for, so anything would help. We truly appreciate everyone’s thoughts and prayers. Thank you all so much — especially those that were at the scene with him."
