Eggs-citing times await in Horizon West

Families have plenty of options for Easter fun this weekend in Horizon West.

The fun begins with the Dream Finders Homes Hippy Hop 5K. This race starts at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Hamlin Town Center, 14111 Shoreside Way, Winter Garden.

All 5K participants will receive a chip timed race, T-shirt and finishers medal. LiveTrends will provide a free themed and handcrafted plant to all participants, and Foxtail Coffee will be offering free coffee. All kids race participants will receive a race medal and bib. Distances vary between 50-yard to 200-yard dashes.

After the race, head over to the Hamlin Easter Bunny Meet & Greet, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at the Hamlin Green Space, 14111 Shoreside Way, Winter Garden. The Easter Bunny is hopping over to Hamlin for a day packed with springtime fun. This event will feature a live deejay by Missing Link Events, face-painting, kids craft, yard games and, of course, photo ops with the Easter Bunny. For more, click here. 

The Learning Experience — Windermere also will be hosting its Spring Eggstravaganza from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at the school, 6290 Lake Smith Circle, Windermere. This event offers egg hunts, games and springtime cheer. 

Finally, Crossline Community Church will host its Easter Egg Hunt from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 19, at Crossline Park, 17922 Old YMCA Road, Winter Garden. This event includes food trucks, bounce houses, petting farm, foam pit, dunk tank, vendors and more. The egg hunt will take place at 1:30 p.m.
