The First Academy alumnus selected as MLB National League All-Star

TFA's Foster Griffin played in the All-Star game Tuesday, July 14.

The First Academy's alumnus Foster Griffin was selected to play for the 2026 MLB National League All-Star team. The All-Star game was Tuesday, July 14, and the National League team lost 4-0 to the American League. Griffin had 10 pitches with seven strikes. 

After graduating from TFA in 2014, Griffin was selected in the first round by the Kansas City Royals. He currently is a starting pitcher for the Washington Nationals.
