Winter Garden Little League 8-10U team finishes as state runner-up

WGLL 10U All-Star team completed the state tournament as runners-up with a 2-1 record.

Winter Garden Little League's 8-10U All-Star team had a remarkable season, accomplishing a state appearance for the first time in eight years for the league. The team won 12 straight games through districts and sectionals and won the first two games of states.

But states is where the team's summer journey came to an end.

WGLL lost to Niceville Valparaiso Little League 6-3 Sunday, July 19, in St. Augustine. NVLL won the State Championship.

Jace Watkins joined the WGLL HomeRun Club during the Florida State Tournament against Lake Mary Little League Saturday, July 18.
