The Windermere Police Department Foundation reeled in fun by bringing a group of children out to fish in the Atlantic Ocean.
Police Chief David Ogden, along with Windermere residents Dan Devine, Randy Alligood, John Fitzgibbon, Ken Cox, Jeff Carine and Windermere Town Council member Tony Davit split least nine children into groups to go on three boats out to the Atlantic "helping the kids and creating memories that will last a lifetime," according to a post from the town of Windermere.
For many of the children, it was the first time being in the Atlantic Ocean.
After a great time on the boats, the group headed to Hidden Treasure Harbour Village Restaurant for lunch.
"Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, boats and hearts to make this special day possible," the town said. "These are the moments that build confidence, relationships and lasting memories."
