The Orange County Public Works soon will host a stormwater utility fee community meeting Wednesday, June 17.

According to District 1 Commissioner Nicole Wilson’s social media, the county currently is evaluating options, such as a stormwater utility fee, to help fund stormwater needs.

These fees would address localized flooding, implement drainage improvements, increase water-quality protection and improve maintenance of stormwater infrastructure.

“Join us to learn more about the study, ask questions and share input that will help inform future Board of County Commissioners’ decisions," Wilson's post said.

The meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at the West Orange Recreation Center, located at 309 SW Crown Point Road, Winter Garden.
