Winter Garden mom competes in Super Mom competition

Erin DeLozier, author, is asking the community to help her through votes. These efforts will help her family financially and also benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

“There was something tugging at my heart to just be able to have something that I could provide as a mark in the world and to just share my love of Christ,” Author Erin DeLozier said.

Winter Garden mother Erin DeLozier is asking for the community's support.

She is a part of the Colossal's Super Mom competition, a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need.

"Through online competitions like Super Mom, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact," its website reads.

DeLozier currently is in second place. If she makes it to first place, she'll advance to the quarterfinals.

"The best part: the magazine has partnered with the Children's Miracle Network if any donations are made," DeLozier said.

Through fundraisers over the years, they've raised more than $14.9 million to support the Children's Miracle Network's mission.

DeLozier is competing for $20,000, which would help her and her family.

"I would love to do something fancy with the kids, but honestly I would be so blessed to pay bills that have piled up while my husband was out of work for the past 10 months," she said. "Thankfully he started a new job April 1, but the money would help us catch up a little on past due bills and repay some of the people who have generously helped us. We have done our best to keep the kids life somewhat normal for them as we didn’t want them to worry. But it’s been tough."

It is free to vote.

Double voting currently is taking place until 9 p.m. Thursday, May 21.

Voting ends one hour later, at 10 p.m.
